New Energy market report from Business Monitor International: "France Power Report Q3 2016"

[USPRwire, Mon Jun 13 2016] Nuclear power will remain the dominant electricity source in France by generating over 75% of total output over our 10-year forecast period until 2025. The highest growth in capacity additions will come from non-hydropower renewable, bolstered by stringent emission targets hampering increasingly unprofitable thermal power sources.

Latest Updates and Structural Trends

The French government stated it will commence the closure of the Fessenheim nuclear plant amid concerns and protests by Germany and Switzerland regarding the plant's safety. We remain cautious on our nuclear forecasts, as conflicting statements regarding the plant's closure have been made before. We will factor the decrease in generation in if the closure commences.
