ClickCaster Launches Simple "Click" Video Blogging
Software release provides more ways to share, personalize and create video podcasts
[USPRwire, Fri Aug 04 2006] ClickCaster today announces the release of several new features to their current web-based podcast management software solution. With this release, subscribers have the option to upload various formats of audio and video content and publish that content as a podcast.
Unlike other providers who just support webcam video only, ClickCaster supports any video content, either professional or user generated.
Some of the file formats supported include:
"Now those old movies you made and saved in mpeg, mov or avi, or those recordings of your band saved in wav, ogg or ac3 can be uploaded and shared with a new generation of friends and family" notes Scott Converse, ClickCaster CEO. ClickCaster will convert your audio to standard MP3 format (the most used audio podcast format on the planet) and then wrap it in RSS so anyone, anywhere, can subscribe to your wonderful audio creations."
Video podcasts now get converted to both flv (flash) and MP4 (what's used on iPods). The Flash file is used to stream video files instantly from ClickCaster to those wanting to view it from within one of ClickCaster's hosted podcast pages. The MP4 file is available for download, so a podcaster's audience can quickly load it onto their iPods, video capable player or download and play the files direct from their PC.
ClickCaster also enables users to embed their audio and video podcasts into their MySpace profiles, blogs or personal web pages. The flash players can be customized by color and can be specific to individual podcasts.
In addition, end users can customize their personal podcast pages on ClickCaster to include custom headers, background layouts and colors.
