In North America, the Geothermal Resources Development Bill was approved by the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The governor of New Jersey signed the pro-solar bill into law S-2420, and increased the net metering cap. The state also launched legislation supporting the solar power incentive program. Additionally, the Baker-Polito Administration of Massachusetts filed solar legislation to increase net metering caps, and aid the development of the solar sector.
In Asia-Pacific, Victoria, Australia introduced its renewable energy roadmap, while Taiwan raised its offshore wind and solar target for 2030. The Indian state of Gujarat introduced a new solar power policy, while another state, Madhya Pradesh, witnessed advancement in power generation. Also in India, the proposed land acquisition bill has created problems for solar power projects.

In Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, the French government showcased its subsidy support for the biogas sector. The country also introduced a floating offshore wind turbine tender, and doubled its solar bid capacity to 800 Megawatts (MW). Also in Europe, Germany received a huge response to its second solar Photovoltaic (PV) auction, and Luxembourg developed a draft regulation boosting collective solar PV installations. Finally, the new Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) order is enforcing penalties on distribution companies that discard electricity allocation.
