The Quakers on Probation Release Indie CD Every Living Thing

The Quakers on Probation sounds range from country flavored rock to pop oriented journeys on Every Living Thing.

[USPRwire, Tue Apr 06 2010] Along with their thought provoking name the Seattle based band Quakers on Probation have released an equally interesting and eclectic CD titled Every Living Thing.

The recording was created from 2008 to 2009 at The Recovery Room in Seattle. The Quakers on Probation sounds range from country flavored rock to pop oriented journeys on Every Living Thing. The band tabbed their sound as jangle pop/electro twang, which it lives up to in more ways than one on the new offering.

The album was engineered, mixed and mastered by Graig Markel and all the songs were written by Daniel A. Craig (vocals/guitar/keys). Primarily the albums instrumentation was handled by two multi instrumentalists, Graig Markel (guitar, bass, fender Rhodes, lap steel, pedal steel, banjo, mandolin) and Daniel F. Craig. There are also several guest appearances on the record including Trent Moorman (Head Like a Kite), Joe Patterson (Animals at Night ), Billy Joe Huels (The Dusty 45's), H. Willie Hoffee (Skatgadget) and the exceptional Grammy Award winning keyboardist, the late Larry Knechtel (of Wrecking Crew fame). In tribute to Knetchel the band added a bonus track to close out the recording that Kenchtel produced and played on, the smash hit from the 70s "Chevy Van".

Many sounds come to mind while listening to Every Living Thing, including sweet reminiscing of the Beach Boys, The Beatles, Gram Parsons, Ricky Nelson and others. The accessible sound will find a home on pop, country and rock radio stations that span a wide range of demographics.

There are several tracks that will be crossover hits however the one recording that is destined to be an anthem for the ages is “Lament for the Aging Rocker”. The track brings out often funny real life truths about aging rock stars that makes them sound no different than anyone else.

The clever genre mixing along with the varied experience of each band member makes Every Living Thing one of the more unique and commercially viable indie releases of 2010. Music fans and critics alike will be raving about the album from coast to coast in no time.

Every Living Thing is available at e-tail shops such as CD Baby and Amazon and you can obtain more information at the band’s website while listening to streaming tracks. You can also visit the band on the web on their Myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/quakerrock.
